Abstract: Das Menschenbild des Homo oeconomicus steht in der Kritik: Die Orientierung an diesem Leitbild entspreche auf der einen Seite nicht dem tatsaechlichen menschlichen Verhalten, stifte aber auf der anderen Seite zu egoistischem Handeln an. Zwar werden in der juengeren Vergangenheit ‘Verhaltensanomalien’ wie moralisches Handeln staerker herausgestellt, eine alternative Basis der oekonomischen Theorie hat sich indes noch nicht herausgebildet. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden im vorliegenden Beitrag die Rolle der vermeintlichen Verhaltensanomalie ‘Moral’ fuer den Homo oeconomicus naeher beleuchtet und daran anknuepfend einige Grundgedanken fuer ein ‘moralisch-evolutionaeres’ oekonomisches Menschenbild entwickelt. (The conception of man as homo oeconomicus is subject to criticism: on the one hand, this concept does not reflect reality; on the other hand, this role model encourages selfish behavior and justifies immoral actions. Although so-called behavioral anomalies, such as moral action or fairness have in recent times been emphasized by behavioral economists, these cannot provide an alternative basis for economic theory. Against this background, the role that morality plays in the behavior of homo oeconomicus will be considered, together with some thoughts on the ‘moral-evolutionary” development of the concept of economic man.)
