Banking activity in the regions

Ie.S.Bernshtam and A.N. Luzanov

Journal "Region: Economics and Sociology", 2002, vol. 3, 121-132

Abstract: The paper considers little-known features of regional disparities in the banking activity and information possibilities for correct analysis of spatial allocation of capital. It develops a methodical approach to getting comprehensive comparative estimates and to building a typology of Russian regions based on their level of banking activity. Clusters of regions with different potentials of banking activity are characterised.
