Analysis of "gas project" sustainability to possible changes in the economic environment

T.N. Yesikova

Journal "Region: Economics and Sociology", 2003, vol. 4

Abstract: Possible changes in foreign economic environment may increase the pay-back period for the key system-forming project of the use of natural gas extracted in the Asian part of the country and reduce its efficiency. A procedure of selection among project variants is suggested. Their analysis has shown that the variant of gas deliveries that is most sustainable to possible changes in the environment in terms of pure discounted income for major project participants is to supply rather higher value products of gas than gas itself.
