Abstract: The main causes for deterioration of the social-economic situation in the areas of aborigine people of the Irkutsk oblast are exposed. One of the possible ways to improve the governance of the area with the traditional use of nature is the creation of a national park, which will help substantially improve the quality of life for the native people.
