Abstract:
The paper shows the role which consumer’s cooperative societies plays in the country economy; describes a new paradigm in the development of such societies in the context of globalization and contingencies which may jeopardize their existence because of ideas of managerialism. The paper also describes the ways of how the Siberian consumer’s cooperative societies, once united into one society – Sibpotrebsoyuz (“Siberia”) - in order to defend their interests in Siberia as well as in Russia, operate.
