Methodology for analysis of a civil ship market

Abstract: In Russian onshore regions, sea transportation proved to be the best way to transport unlimited quantities of cargo. The paper describes the managerial and technological peculiarities of a shipbuilding sector and a shipping industry, and offers the approaches to analyze the statistical demand and supply data for the market of civil ships. The authors recommend that marketing studies should include the analysis of the ship characteristics.
