Journal "Region: Economics and Sociology", 2009, vol. 1

Abstract: The paper presents a sociological study of how elderly people, living in two large industrial districts of Novosibirsk, have adapted to the social changes happened at the macro- and micro levels; and to what degree their life views correspond to the existed social standards. The authors describe this socio-economic group - the population of the third age - and show its heterogeneity.
