Abstract:
The paper analyzes the approaches to choosing principles, forms, and methods of regional policy pursued by any RF subject and limits of the regional socio-economic development for the purposes of finding regional priorities and elaborating mechanisms of regional policy. A case-study for Novosibirsk oblast is presented to show the problems of how regional policy is set – what priorities of the economic development in the region are chosen and why new territorial-sectoral clusters should be built
