Abstract:
Since the start of the Industrial Revolution, the level of greenhouse gas emission caused by human activities has continued to rise, leading to global warming and unprecedented temperatures. Extreme climate events have become more frequent and intense than previously predicted, and the lack of actions today to curb such emissions is likely to have a severe impact on ecosystems and on living conditions across the world. These negative outcomes will pose risks to economies and financial institutions and, therefore, to financial stability.
