The New Varieties under Dryland Conditions: Mexican Wheats in Tunisia

Malcolm J. Purvis

American Journal of Agricultural Economics, 1973, vol. 55, issue 1, 54-57

Abstract: The new wheats in the dryland conditions of Tunisia are being grown with limited success on large-scale mechanized farms. Achieving yield potentials depends on careful control of plant growth. If this is not done, traditional varieties outyield the new wheats.
