Fertilizer Response Information and Income Gains: The Case of Potatoes in Peru

Abstract: Yield response to different levels of fertilizer on various soils is estimated by a generalized response function. Average new income generated by use of optimum levels is estimated at over $800 per hectare. The social gain to Peru is estimated to be as much as $50 million annually.
