Estimation of Flexibility Coefficients for Recursive Programming Models—Alternative Approaches

R. K. Sahi and W. J. Craddock

American Journal of Agricultural Economics, 1974, vol. 56, issue 2, 344-350

Abstract: This paper presents a critical evaluation of some methods commonly used in estimating flexibility coefficients for recursive programming models. It also suggests an alternative procedure for estimating coefficients that vary from year to year depending upon economic and noneconomic conditions. This method was found empirically superior to some previous approaches.
