Designs of variable resolution

Abstract:
Prior information or background knowledge may suggest that interactions arise only within certain factors. When such knowledge is available, we propose using a new class of designs: designs of variable resolution. Several constructions are presented. Statistical justifications for using such designs from minimum G 2 aberration and design efficiency perspectives are provided. Copyright 2012, Oxford University Press.
