Abstract:
This article offers a comprehensive overview of the decision-making process of the European Community with respect to the agricultural sector. Formal Treaty provisions as well as the interrelationships between the Council, the Commission, and the Parliament are described. The particularities of the agricultural decision-making process are highlighted. The article concludes with the implications for EC agricultural decision-making practice of the Treaty on European Unity and other recent political-institutional developments.
