Richard Tiffin () and Magda Aguiar

European Review of Agricultural Economics, 1995, vol. 22, issue 4, 469-80

Abstract: This paper presents the results from estimating on Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) for fresh fruit in Portugal. A complete matrix of price and expenditure elasticities of demand for apples, pears, oranges, peaches, cherries and plums is reported. A Bayesian approach is used to impose curvature and monotonicity restrictions in the model. Copyright 1995 by Oxford University Press.
