Abstract:
The services of the European Commission are introducing a system of agricultural forecasts and simulation. In this paper the general approach on the demand side is presented. The demand forecasts are made for the EC as a whole and for the individual member states. Human consumption represents the major part of the demand. The net human consumption was projected on the basis of the per capita consumption. Definite numerical results can not yet be presented. In this paper some of the theoretical and practical problems involved in this research are discussed.
