Abstract:
Low income countries of the Pacific region want to cash in on the unprecedented growth of the telecommunication industry. Granted the convergence of services and multimedia compression technologies, these countries are committing to larger investments to bridge the gap between population growth and dialtone. This paper traces some recent developments in the region. Copyright 1995 by Oxford University Press.
