Human Resource Management Improvement in the Romanian Trade Enterprises in the Context of the Demands Induced by Globalisation and the EU Integration

Abstract: The Romanian trade enterprises are at the end of a long and difficult period of transition towards market economy, while also facing the competitive pressures induced by globalization and the EU integration. The present paper thus suggests a possible solution to the challenges that the Romanian trade enterprises must face, bringing arguments to show that one of the answers to the complexity of the environment is to develop the human resources and to adapt the management of these resources to the demands of the environment, with the purpose of increasing competitiveness. The suggestions regarding the human resources management improvement in the Romanian trade enterprises are based on the conclusions of the research performed among the 41 companies in the Timis county, dealing mostly in trade sector.
