Abstract: The issue that we tried to analyse in this paper is related to how we could keep what Jean Monnet proposed and realized in the last 50 years, whereas the current economic and political situation requires it. The European Union is the lab of successful experiences regarding unification. We started from the collaboration between two competing countries and nowadays we are talking about 27 accessions and many others in the near future. Jean Monnet himself concluded that after an economic union, states will also want a political one. What could be more interesting in the European Union than knowing our rights and freedoms and, why not, positively taking advantage of these prerogatives?
