Eco-Management and Audit Scheme – a Tool for Sustainable Development

Abstract: In recent years environmental issues are an integral part of the strategy of organizations around the world. Each economic unit seeks to achieve and demonstrate along with economic growth and a level of performance of environmental protection to meet the environmental legislation. The paper analysed the objectives and relation among EMAS and ISO 14000, analyses is also extended to new EMAS adopted on 2009.
