The Firewall and Security of Information Systems

Abstract: Information security is a broader concept which refers to ensuring the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information. The dynamics of information technology to induce new risks to which organizations must implement new measures of control. Technological development has been accompanied by security solutions, equipment manufacturers and applications including technical methods of protection performance. However, while in information technology change is exponential, the human component remains unchanged. Information security can not be achieved solely by technical measures, is primarily a human problem. Most security incidents are caused by inadequate management and organization, rather than because of deficiencies in security mechanisms. This paper presents the use of firewall security systems.
