Abstract: State budget expenditures, provided by the annual laws of the state budget, are part of the public expenditures. Figures recorded in the past years show that Romania’s public expenditures have been constantly increasing, and their ascending trend was accompanied by a similar evolution of the state budget expenditures. However, the trend was an expected one, given the fact that the majority of the European countries recorded such evolutions, especially considering the deterioration of the economic environment. Through this paper we intend to analyze past and present evolution of Romania’s state budget expenditures, focusing on their structural changes.
