Abstract: This paper presents an empirical analysis of the relation between the free market and prosperity. Based on the 2011 report of the idicators Index of Economic Freedom and Economic Freedom of the World, the arguments for economic liberty gain empirical proof. The data presents a powerfull source of measuring key aspects of economic life and development of the society, issues that will correlate in a general conclusion about the freedom of the world we live in.
