Abstract: The advance to knowledge society is considered, in the world, as a necessary evolution to ensure the durable development in the context of „new economy”, based mainly on intense-intellectual products and activities, as well as to realize an advanced socio-human civilization. In this context the competent institutions to take care the education of citizens are forced to rethink the development strategies by going so far as to change the forms of functioning, and the whole educational process suffers changes designed to make it more flexible and adaptable to the requirements of players in the labor market. This paper intends to argue in a new manner learning, an essential part of the educational process, an activity which takes place in a modern and effective educational environment, the virtual university.
