Abstract: This paper is meant to emphasize the importance of the demographic factor, which is a crucial component in the long term, the creation and sizing of labor resources. The offer of work which has the general background population, ie the number of people of working age and their ability to provide services needed in society, is essentially a variable that depends on demographic phenomena and processes. Based on these considerations, the analysis in this chapter is to decipher changes in the structure of the population in Romania, as the main determinant of the level of labor resources and the effects of demographic phenomena generated by the labor market.
