Abstract: This paper analyzes the impact that the global crisis has on the labour market both in Romania and in Europe. The financial crisis is felt in Europe in most of the economic sectors (automotive, chemicals, transport, Real Estate) and everything suggests that the negative effects will extend to other areas. Romanian industry's crisis plan was backed by the global financial crisis. The measures which will be taken by the affected countries are very important in terms of restoring a balance in the future labor market.
