Abstract:
As a fundamental component of tourism, transport links between the tourist generating areas and destinations. Therefore, accesibility, who is determined by the quality of existing transport services, is essential in development of any tourist destination. Moreover, the tourism industry can have substantial benefits with increasing demand for a certain way to travel. In this context, travel time is one of the largest categories of transport costs, and time savings are often claimed to be the greatest benefit of transport projects. This paper examines the value of travel time and travel time savings. Various studies have developed estimates of traveltime values for different user types and travel conditions.
