Abstract: Following the global economic crisis, some organizations have managed to find new opportunities for development. The research aims to explore these opportunities in the extended supply chain by analyzing key features that until now were left behind to care for the cost and sales volume. A journey among the challenges that managers encounter in this period is necessary, because in order to be able to solve problems and to improve, we need first to know with what we are facing. The article proposes a development method at the conclusion level, regarding the fact that the approach of this research was conducted mainly in the internal management of the supply chain.
