Abstract: This work paper analyses Romania’s natural gas market. We have analyzed the demand, supply and price elements, taking into consideration also the import price of the natural gas. Trying to identify the concentration level of the market, we have used the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI). Calculating HHI for the Romanian gas market, we have found a high market concentration. Analyzing statistic data we have also found that Romania has the lowest gas price in the European Union.
