Abstract: The results of the research made by authors highlights the importance that is given to ensuring sustainable performance of the SMEs in the economic, social and environmental point of view. This work has been prepared as part of project POSDRU/88/1.5./S/55287 “Doctoral thesis in economy at European knowledge standards (DOESEC)”, co-financed by the European Social Fund through Sectorial Operational Programme Human Resources Development 2007-2013 and coordinated by The Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies in partnership with Timisoara West University.
