The Role of Teams as Organizational Structures in a Global Organizational Context

Abstract: The flexibility that modern companies must show in regard to global market entails the recourse to work teams which are multicultural adapted and aware of their role and place in the overall structure of the organization. The technological changes along with the customer needs diversification require the awareness of the influence of organizational structure on team members as well as the influence of teams on organizational structures and organizational context. The present paper aims to point out the importance of teams in the modern organization from the perspective of organizational context and organizational structure.
