Abstract: This paper aims to analyze the degree of spatial peripherality of Romanian counties, at European level. Thus, in a first stage, are classified the indicators which measure the accessibility (spatial peripherality). Then, are selected four accessibility indicators. In the second part of the paper is analyzed the accessibility of Romanian counties in Europe, through factor analysis and cluster analysis. The main conclusion is the identification of a clear center-periphery model in terms of spatial peripherality.
