Ovidius University Annals, Economic Sciences Series, 2012, vol. XII, issue 1, 400-405

Abstract: This paper analyzes the relationship between resources allocated to health care and quality of health services in 15 EU member states. We use quantitative secondary data describing the level of several financial, human and material resources allocated to health care and people positive evaluation for the overall quality of healthcare, as variables and principal components analysis, as statistical method. The results display significant differences in the perception of health care quality among analyzed countries. They also confirm the existence of a relationship between financial and real resources allocated to health care and respondents’ evaluations of health care quality.
