Small Business Management Strategies

Abstract: Small business management issues have long been ignored by management specialists. University studies related to the development stage of the strategic management have only emerged over the past decade as a new systematic approach of the small business management came into sight as regards this area of the economic agents. The individual contribution of a small business to assigning the economic situation of a nation is insignificant but the small businesses as a whole play a major role. In countries with a developed market economy, over 95 % of the total number of companies is represented by small and medium-sized undertakings. These involve approximately half of the number of employees in the whole economy and generate 80 % of the new employment. The creativity associated to these companies is comparable to that of large organizations.
