Abstract:
The aim of Lisbon Strategy is for European Union to become "the most dynamic and competitive knowledge-based economy in the world capable of sustainable economic growth with more and better jobs and greater social cohesion, and respect for the environment by 2010". Within this context, as Romania is part of European Union and adhere to the same goals, studying the evolution of the possibilities of knowledge development and the effective use of the environment that favors knowledge, in the past, between 1995 and 2007, to underline the contributions to the accomplishment of European Union’s goal, is essential. There is also of great interest the comparison over time of Romania, other European countries and also the first place country developments towards knowledgebased economy
