Abstract:
In a banking environment such as Romania's, constantly changing and subject to the pressure of a fierce competition, all the attention of the banks management teams is oriented towards the costs and their possible reduction in regard to maximizing the profit. In our opinion the main challenge for the Romanian banking system is to compete to reduce bank costs - as far was a frantic competition between banks mainly aiming at filling the market share. Also consider that 2013 could be a more difficult for the banking sector in Romania. The profitability of banks is likely to fall under pressure to reduce interest margins and competition, increase investment costs for expanding networks, but also the global liquidity crisis
