Abstract: In order to take a decision on investments, and entire process of identification, evaluation and selection of projects is assumed, so as to bring major benefits to an organization. The decision on strategic investments demands a series of challenges and involves the most experienced managers of the company within the field of investments; this happens since, on one hand, a wrong decision might be taken, and on the other hand, the company might lose an opportunity that cannot be capitalized anymore in the future. Like this, a company might lose extremely precious resources, as regards its future development or growth. Such a decision, taken in the view of carrying out a strategic investment, emphasizes all the elements of a classical cost – benefit analysis.
