Abstract: The paper explores the effects of foreign direct investments on the human capital accumulation in the case of the Romanian economy. Using data for 1995-2010, the study shows that it is strong relation between FDI flow and the share of the tertiary educated people in the population aged 2024. This is suggesting that there is a beneficial effect of the FDI flow in the economy, stimulating the demand for a high quality human capital.
