Abstract: This paper has a look at the latest developments in relation to the implementation of reforms in the labour laws of Greece and Romania. It concludes that that the tendency in the two countries has been to introduce amendments to their labour laws that leads to lower protection standards for workers and gives rise to questions in respect to their adherence to principles of democracy and fundamental social rights.
