Abstract: Rehabilitation may be included among those legal institutions whose purpose is in the service of promoting the idea of order and discipline in the activity and conduct of all citizens, one of the fundamental requirements of the advance of our society. Rehabilitation highlights two categories of interests, the individual and the social, which are fully consistent with each other. By the perspective it opens to each convict, rehabilitation exerts a positive influence in perfecting the process of social re-adaptation of convicted persons, thus being an active factor in fighting crime recidivism as an aggravated form of crime.
