Abstract: Trade has proven to be a suitable field for introduction of scientific and technical achievements despite the fact that a large part of the transactions are (remain) customized by the seller-buyer contact. Technical progress in trade means quantitative and qualitative changes in the application of information technology: the automation of processes, using modern equipment, the introduction of automatic data processing. Electronic commerce is one of the most important aspects of the Internet, which runs in the context of internationalization of economic activities continue under contemporary technological revolution and especially the new information technologies and telecommunications. The present paper aims to highlight the key trends in retail trade in the context of introduction on large-scale of information technologies, the use of smart devices and social networks.
