Abstract: The experience of the last few years during which we have witnessed an emphasis of the globalization phenomenon has demonstrated that the countries which have strongly connected to the global economy have had significantly higher growth rates than the countries which have opted for autarchic growth. Through the substantial imports and exports which have been realized by China, through the attracted foreign direct investments, etc, China has become a first ranked player in the global economy. All the aspects which have determined this evolution and the way in which the Chinese government is responding to the current global challenges were captured in this paper.
