Abstract: Ensuring environmental protection is one of the three pillars of sustainable development. Identifying the factors that lead to enterprise financial performance must take into consideration environmental factors. Research in the field showed an increasing importance of such factors in obtaining financial results. Present paper aims to demonstrate the link between environmental responsibility and firm financial performance, using statistical tools. Research was conducted in Romanian tourism sector and is based on a survey among employees of enterprises within this sector. In addition to this, financial documents of the investigated sample were studied in order to collect data for results' correlation.
