Abstract: Abstract. A definition of the enterprise is proposed, the factors that determine the period of operation of the enterprise are listed; analyses regarding the viability, longevity of the operation of the enterprise are carried out; innovations, labor productivity, the structure of the end product offered by the company, market demand for the respective products are the main preoccupation of the company manager. It is argued the proposal to develop a national programme of increasing labor productivity.
