The Relationship between Doing Business and Economic Freedom around the World in the Period 2014-2016

Abstract: Doing business constitutes a major concern around the world, both for policy makers andentrepreneurs. Economic freedom allows individuals to be independent and choose those types andmeans of doing business that suit them the best. The aims of the paper are to show the relationship between the concepts of doing business andeconomic freedom, and to present the rankings of the top 10 countries in the world according tothese two topics for the period 2014-2016. In this respect, the methodology used is based on theresearch of various secondary sources such as articles and reports. The findings highlight that there is a positive relationship between the ease of doing businessand the level of economic freed.
