Abstract: The global business environment has become a space that allows many companies to exceedtheir limits; the dynamic internationalization of businesses, the expansion of companies from emerging economies, and especially of those from BRICS economies, the presence of multinational companies owned by the state are just some of the trends that shape the global businessenvironment today. In this study, based on the data synthesized by UNCTAD in the Top 100 nonfinancial MNEs from developing and transition economies, we aim to conduct a two-way analysisof the expansion of companies from the BRICS economies in the international businessenvironment. A research direction leads to the regional level, and another direction focuses on the sectoral level. The analysis carried out leads to a series of conclusions on the dynamics and configuration of the world's most important multinational companies from the BRICS economies.
