Quality Management - a Factor for Improving Sustainability in the Automotive Industry

Abstract: Due to the importance of the automotive industry in the world economy and its impact on the environment, the implementation of sustainable development measures in this industry has become mandatory. This paper wants to emphasize the link between the implementation of quality management and the sustainable development of this industry but also to highlight the opinions of car users in Romania related to this issue. In this sense, the authors conducted a quantitative marketing research, collecting data based on a questionnaire. The research results show that most respondents are aware of the need to protect the environment and the involvement of the automotive industry in this regard.
