Abstract: The entire globe is facing challenging times, due to an invisible threat named Covid-19. This virus that has generated a worldwide health crisis is forcing all levels of administration to work in an environment of uncertainty and to cut access to priority sectors like health, education, economy and social life, considering the challenges it poses. This pandemic has a very divergent local and regional impact and a strong territorial dimension, with major consequences for citizens, businesses and public institutions. This article explores the authorities’ response to the crisis, with particular examples from the impact upon Dâmbovița County Council, by examining the efforts and good practices that are being made to tackle the pandemic and the remodeling of the local communication management.
