The Role of the Food Service Industry for the Tourism Destination Development

Abstract:
Tourism destinations’ development is a difficult process which requires positive evolutions among all the companies involved in meeting visitors’ needs. Out of these companies, the food service units have a special role, as they satisfy basic physiological needs and also offer a wide range of opportunities to spend a pleasant leisure time and to entertain. In this article, the food service units from Brașov city are analyzed. The results confirm the important steps and in the right direction made by the local entrepreneurs who contribute, on a large scale, to the development of the tourism destination Brașov city.
