Abstract: The role of supply logistics has become increasingly important over the years in meeting customer requirements. In supply logistics, supplier selection is one of the most important tasks. In modern companies it is evaluated as a critical factor to be successful in competition conditions, starting with purchasing of raw material which is the first step, ending with delivering the products. As a main objective in the supplier selection problem, we find the strengthening of the relations between suppliers and buyers, in the long run, respecting the principles of optimizing the supply costs and maximally reducing the risks involved. The aims of the paper are to study the theoretical concepts of supply logistics process and the aspects of raw materials supplier selection and to integrate them at the practical level through analyzing a relatable study case. Methodology includes several economic methods: logical methods (analysis and synthesis), quantitative and qualitative methods, modelling.
